Safety Rules TerrorWerks is meant to be a fun game. Rules are designed not to restrict but protect the safety of its participants and ensure each player has a good time. In developing these rules, we tried to cover realism, game play and safety. Weapons and Attacks For legal and safety reasons, weapons may not leave the event space. Weapons are to kept with the safety on and with magazines out while in the staging area. Always hold your weapon with your finger off the trigger unless you are ready to fire. Blind firing (sticking your gun out of an area and firing without knowing/seeing where you are aiming) around corners is strictly prohibited! You must have eyes on target before firing. You may not use optics to see around corners and fire. It is very easy to hit someone point blank in the face when doing this. When engaging a target always aim for center mass. Avoid head or groin shots. During the events you may come across improvised weapons such as hammers, pipes and other similar items. These items are made out of foam rubber and for safety reasons are the only things other than supplied firearms that you may use as weapons. No other object may be used as a weapon. When using these foam weapons all you need to do is lightly tap your target with the weapon. Do not use your full strength! In addition only target center mass such as the chest or arms. Do not aim for the head or groin. Protective Gear and Clothing No special body protection is required. Clothing that covers bare skin may be desirable. Players will be outfitted with tactical accessories, but these are not required for protection. For a more immersive experience, players are encouraged to bring costuming suitable for the futuristic military scenario - camouflage/ACUs for marines, jumpsuits for engineers/synthetics, etc. Even if you are not costuming for the event, please remember to dress appropriately for a combat simulation - i.e. pants, shorts or comparable vs. dresses, skirts or cloaks.
